some of my favorite scenes from the disney short MICKEY AND THE BEANSTALK, part of the 1947 compilation FUN AND FANCY FREE. the film has some of the most stunning camera-angles and beautifully painted backgrounds, a real masterpiece.

I am always taken aback in this film with the beam of light shining on the growing beans. They’ve gone to the trouble of putting dust motes in the beam so that it’s alive and helps create part of the magic in the scene.
Perfect layouts, perfect backgrounds. I never getting bored of seeing these, I love them!
