Hi! I see you have a couple of posts over non photorealistic rendering, they are really interesting!
I was working together with other artists some years ago in a commercial spot and we had to look for a combination of filters that would allow us to achieve a final image with handpainted appearance from the original live action film frames.
We also had to add some painted animation because some things should disappear from the image (following the script).
Final frames were achieved only using photoshop (filters and some painting). I include my link where you can see the advert and some of the final frames just in case: http://www.graciaartigas.com/makeyourmark.html
And while I’m here writing, thankyou for the artwork you share here and for your book Dreamworlds, it has inspired me and helped me a lot in my everyday work, I highly appreciate it! ^_^
Cheers!

thank you, gracia. the ‘filtered’ commercial looks good, considering some years back there were only a few filters available. with the TOONIT and AKVIS new filtersets you can get some amazing results today. I am curious what might happen the next years.
